I don't think Nike is doing this out of some altruistic motive; no, this is a cold, calculated marketing decision. I'm positive they studied this for months before making this decision,knowing that they would lose "some" sales but hoping to gain more if from nothing else than the massive free publicity that will accompany this marketing campaign.

It also smacks of hypocrisy, siding with the privileged, pampered athletes who are protesting something that really isn't that much of an issue, yet having their shoes made by child labor in sweatshops in countries who REALLY practice discrimination against their own citizens.
