Or, the other way around, doesn't matter.
I'm not worried so much about robbers or kidnappers as I am scammers and beggars. Since Texas now allows for anonymous claiming, the only beggars I *might* have are family members.
While I'm certainly no expert, and the experts (past lottery winners) don't normally talk about it, I still maintain if you'll keep your head down, fly under the radar as much as possible and stay mum, the world will forget you in just a few months, if not weeks and go on to the next shiny object.
but I know for myself, the best defenses is : being in better then avg shape, a good lawyer, guns loaded with g2rs
Friends and family will borrow and not pay back. Even declaring bankruptcy. "Entitlements"
