Great tune! I guess I had forgotten they had done that song. After thinking on it for a while, I remember now why I had put it out of my mind; I used to work for a guy who had bought a new car with a cassette player (not an 8-track) and he bought a few tapes to play on the way to and from the drilling rig. One was The Outlaws, the country group of Willie and Waylon and Kris Kristofferson, et al. and another was Dr. Hook. Since you could rewind cassettes, unlike 8-tracks, he would listen to "On the Cover of the Rolling Stone" over and over and over again. Now, that was pretty catchy for a "gimmick" song, but got old after the first dozen times I heard it. I guess I grew to hate it so much that I didn't even want to listen to anything of Dr. Hook's again.

I have a TON of music in my mp3 "Jukebox" and found 44 tunes categorized under "Dr. Hook" and several dozen more that are "loose" or in anthology type folders. I will have to start listening to him again, thanks for the reminder! You make my pants want to get up and dance!

LOL believe it or not I work for a short 6 month period in EC at a small time radio station ....I was working with an ex boyfriend when we had a live call in show he was outside smoking so I took the next caller calling in ( a little radio station not many callers so I figured it couldn't be that bad ) well I answer the phone a woman started talking telling me about her ex bf and she wanted to hear a certain song....conversation is going good up until she said the word F on live radio I forgot the 10 second delay button so she was truly "live" they were fined 10k by the FCC and I just didn't come back I hate that nasty conversation where someone says "your fired" lol I figured I was fired so that's my short lived radio career.I do love music though all kinds
