The author uses hyperbole and rare, extreme cases to make his point(s). Many states (30, I think) require employers to let their employees go vote. (the requirements/restrictions vary) Besides, most people - apparently not the black voters the author claims are discriminated against-vote during their lunch hour or after work. Plus, contrary to what he claims, it's not that hard to vote early.

The bit about Indians (AKA "Native Americans") not being allowed to vote b/c of having only a P.O. Box and not a street address is absurd. I grew up out in the country and OUR address was "Star Route Two" and it served as evidence of a physical address for any govt. entity or business that required one. (the "star" meant our mailbox was on the hwy) How does the author think people who live in rural areas are allowed to vote?

Any argument against requiring voter I.D. is, IMO and that of most reasonable and honest people, invalid...and the same people can see the ulterior motive of those who think anyone who shows up to the polls should be allowed to vote. There's one exception to that, and that's having Black Panthers blocking the doors, making sure that people are going to vote "the right way".

The Democrats always say there is no voter fraud.
I will say there is no voter suppression. It is absurd to think there are attempts to suppress citizens from voting.

Voter suppression has never been a problem for Caucasians, but for people of color it has always been a problem for people of color that live in the South. When it comes to the South, there is a special kind of hate that still lingers from the Jim Crow era.
