And while all presidents have their authoritarian moments, Trump has actually been rolling back (or trying) many of these over reaches that had not yet reached the courts, but would have: DACA, executive branch insurance company subsidies, Title IX threats, EPA agency over reaches.

Trump nominated the judge that is by far the biggest skeptic of executive branch power, Gorsuch. And one who is probably a close second in Kavanaugh. Both are strong supporters that only Congress should make laws, not the executive agencies, not the courts. Trump talks like an authoritarian but has of yet not done much in that area. Obama was eloquent, but his actions are well documented.
