You know, having a disease used to be a disqualification for the legal immigrants coming into the country via Ellis Island, but most were put into quarantine and only 2% were sent back to their home country. That said, I don't think people with TB or HIV should be allowed in b/c you know   well who will be footing the bill for their treatment.

Thanks Mike. I have to agree. It's a health issue for US legal citizens. The argument is give TB patients antibiotics, but those are becoming ineffective in many cases. HIV does not yet have a cure, treatment ye$$$ but no cure.

The two diseases Mike mention should automatically disqualify any immigrant from entering this country.
