Back when I was on Facebook, I made friends with a young woman from Denmark (I had seen her on a Discovery channel show about ancient archeology and found out she had a Fb profile) and we talked about all kinds of things in chat; she brought up illegal immigration over here and said at first she was sympathetic to people "only wanting to better themselves" but now they were being overrun with many who were criminals. She had even mention there was discussion as to putting them on some island until they could be deported...just as the article says! That was probably eight or so yrs. ago, but I guess they finally got fed up. (I'll be glad when the majority of Americans feel the same way, too - the arrest reports in the local paper look like pages torn out of the Juarez phone book)

I was surprised at actually how basically conservative she was, believing in private gun ownership and less govt., fewer taxes, etc.

On the whole, Europeans have expressed their desire to maintain their national character, laws, religion and natural traditions; so they will need to accent their positive aspects and eliminate the negative elements.....
