Dems oppose it because it is a campaign promise and not a national emergency. Trump is holding thousands of government workers as ransom for a wall the majority of Americans don't want. He's in essence cutting off his nose to spite his face.

I agree that we do need a wall, but it's for Trump, you know, the ones inside of a prison.

Trump happened. He is NOT the victim here, the 800,000 government workers are. He can't relate to people that live from paycheck to paycheck. period.

The gov't workers are not victims. They are pawns being used by the politicians, the same way as they are in any other gov't shutdown.
The American citizens that have been KILLED by illegal immigrants are the victims.
