I feel suffering could have many definitions. Following the hive mind as if "they" have the inside scoop as opposed to listening to gut instinct usually creates regret which is suffering.

Current example is the pile-on by media and celebs of the Covington kids and their families.

Life lesson is to learn meditation and get centered, that way you will not be pulled or pushed by anyone or anything :-)

Thanks Eddessa. Yes and learning to both listen and follow what our gut instinct or intuition tells us is the correct action to take. Saves a lot of time and unnecessary admonitions for having made mistakes, when the actual mistake was failing to trust ourselves.

Allowing yourself to look at things logically, without being emotional, gives better insight to understanding. He was a master at his profession as well as understanding. Very wise words indeed.

Thanks Maddog. As much chaos as we're being inundated with I hope everyone who sees that meme will take his words to heart. There are a lot of martial arts disciplines I wish were more widely taught in the US.
