It's easy to love some people.  The true test is to love someone who's hard to love.  Send all your enemies love.

Yes, it is hard to love the person that is the hardest to love...! Thanks for sharing your thoughts...you never know how your words can touch or encourage someone. Good Luck....Kay

Why is it that it's easier for me to love my animals than some people I know? I miss my dogs and cat when I'm away from them, but I don't miss my boyfriend. Sometimes, I wonder what love is... But I sure love my first cousin even though he does not appreciate anything I do for him. It's because his mother is my favorite aunt. Sometimes, I wonder if he has eaten too much of the "bread of shame."

I am glad I quit fooling around with tests since leaving school.   I'd prefer easy to love.

Most of my enemies sleep with the fish now.   I send them my love...

I agree that we should give our love to everyone. However, it doesn't mean we have to like the people or even socialize with them. I think it would be pretty hard to love someone like Michael Devlin or Jeffrey Dahmer and I wouldn't even want to try. In these cases we can only pray for their souls and let God or whatever greater power you believe in take over.

Csfb, a pet is very easy to love because you always get reciprocal love and attention back...sort of like when you have a baby. If your dog attacked you when you walked in the door, you wouldn't love him for very long. One reason a lot of family face problems as children grow is that 2 people have a baby for the wrong reason. They have visions and dreams of what this person will be. So at first he's the cutest thing in the world. Then that baby becomes a teenager. That is why love needs to be unconditional, not based on how submissive the recipient of your affection is, or what struggles one will encounter. However love and being in love are 2 entirely different things. One is a lifetime of understanding, partnership and dedication and the other is a temporary high that wears off when your feet touch the ground.
