Tax returns are confidential. He has the same right to NOT release his, that you have to NOT release yours. It's his choice to do it or not. It's your choice too.

grwurston, with respect to you as you and I also chat on lottery issues, if it had been Obama or Hillary refusing to release tax reports, you'd be talking about it RIGHT NOW...and demanding them. If there's nothing to hide and everything's on the up and up, then why refuse? There are certain employers which require proof of your tax return, man. Do you just deny them when your employment depends on it and your taxes are up to snuff? No, you provide your return information. Please, let's continue to be mature and reasonable adults here.

NATIONAL ENQUIRER minds wanna know.

Lucky Loser, all due respect back to you too. But nah, I don't care who does or doesn't show their returns. Never have. Nixon was the one that started doing it. Remember his quote, "I am not a crook"... That could be why. Some presidential candidates have shown more returns, some not so many. Either way, there is no law requiring it. You say if you have nothing to hide why refuse? But, if one of your neighbors wanted to see your tax returns would you publicize them without complaint? Or would you tell them, It's none of your business?
If there is going to be a law, then it needs to apply equally to everyone. The ones trying to pass this bill should remember that. Congressmen have an annual salary of 174k, yet many are multimillionaires. How is that possible? Would they all welcome the scrutiny of how that happened? I think not.

The problem with your argument is that you are showing examples of everyday people showing their taxes, but we're talkin about the president of the United States. Public officials should be held accountable to a much more regulated law process than everyday citizens.

If I have nothing to hide, there is no need for resistance. Transparency should be a given.

Did you google it? You can see the returns. If all your friends jump off the Golden Gate Bridge, will you jump too? If not, why not? lol

Our President Donald J, Trump will veto this bill if it passes both houses.
I agree that what one citizen is required to do that all citizens must do the same. Especially Congress Members.
