I've called a few lefties in here "Useful idiots" but they did not understand the reference.

It reminds me of a term we used to use on the rigs when college boys would come home for the summer to make some good money during their 3 month break. We'd have guys who had 4.0's in every class, but were so ignorant of real life, they'd get in trouble physically within a couple of days, either by thinking they already knew all there was to know about drilling (then stepping on the furiously spinning rotary table), or thoughtlessly thinking that they could insult someone w/out any repercussions.(and getting poked right in their snotbox) Since the term for a novice or "greenhorn" on a rig is a "worm" - the lowest of the low - our name for them was "Educated worms".

Thanks Mike. Sad that education does not mean common sense, and that it unfortunately leads some to feel they're higher on the food chain than others.
