I just read that on Bing earlier this a.m. I've never seen one of those and did not know they could be so aggressive, but they're built like emus/ostriches w/ those deadly feet, so I guess they are.

I had a friend who raised emus for a while and found out how dangerous they are. He bought a breeding pair and went a yr. without so much as a single egg...then found out they were both males. After he found a pair of females for them, they quit being so aggressive ... pretty much like humans, esp. at a bar, huh?

Yep, lots of comedians in the comment section. "Let go on bail since it was not a flight risk" was my fav.

Every time I watch the robins in the spring going after worms, building nests..etc. I am reminded of the raptors depicted in movies only on a smaller scale, this thing is full size raptor.
