You Can No Longer Say "Ginger Bread Man"

This reminds me of the overblown controversy that was starting to come about just as I was graduating from h.s. We had a basketball tournament and a nearby school was competing, but the girl's team objected to their name in the program and on the schedule The school's mascot was the Tigers and they objected to the diminutive "-ette" being tacked onto the name, i.e. "Tigerettes" as had all the girls' teams been done for decades. I could understand the objection, but to start using "Lady Tigers" just seemed....well, "wrong". When you see a tiger, you normally just call it a tiger first, then if you're curious - or they turn away from you - you can tell their sex.
Maybe not the greatest of examples, but a nice lady delivers my mail and I just call her a "postman". Big deal. I might be wrong, but isn't a female serving in the lower ranks of the Air Force called an "airman"? If some gender dysphoric person objects to me calling them "him" or "her"...well, that's their problem. I have more pressing concerns to worry about than offending their delicate sensibilities. They don't seem to have a problem calling ME a Nazi or bigot or homophobic when it's not true, so they can go pound sand for all I care.
Like JAP says: make the gingerbread cookies anatomically correct so I can get it correct. Problem solved. That oughta go over really well at young kid's Christmas parties, huh?
I agree Lejardin, I am not having any of it either.
Nevada just removed gender identification for driving liscenses
