I skimmed over a story about Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady) being upset that the anti-vax crowd were using a clip from the Brady Bunch to support their cause, one where McCormick as Marcia says when she and her sibling characters on the show all got measles: "If you have to get sick, you sure can't beat the measles."

That said, I did not know until I read the article that the current vaccines are made from aborted fetus cells.

THAT said, as an older person, I don't know if I should now get a vaccination or not. I've read another article that says if you were born before 1957, you may be immune due to a couple of outbreaks of the disease since then, but then there's also the fact that many of us might have got vaccinated between 1962 and 1967 when there were two types of vaccines used, one of which did not give us immunity from the disease. A blood test is required to see if we need to be re-vaccinated...but I don't want to be immunized with a vaccine derived from an aborted fetus.

I wish my mom was alive to find out if I had the measles or not.   I was forced to get vaccinated again when at college when I could not come up with my vaccination records, but I also don't remember what those shots were for.

On a semi-related not, a great friend I've made here in L.P. and I email ea. other frequently and we both agree that we'd like to win the lottery as to afford us the luxury of staying the hell away from most people. It's not so much being anti-social (although in my case that' a big part of the reason) but more one of self-preservation.

Thanks Mike. "vaccines are made from aborted fetus cells." Ewww. I had the childhood diseases because of no vaccine for them. Do not plan on getting any shots. The only shot I willingly seek out is the pneumonia vaccine, which I've had no problems from that.

I had enough polio vaccine as a kid to be good for the next five lifetimes at least. Every time there would be vaccine given I'd be taken for a shot, and was so relieved when the vaccine was administered on a sugar cube.

Bye the Bye, does anyone else suspect a correlation between the sudden outbreak of communicable diseases — such as measles and tuberculosis — and thousands of migrants overwhelming our Southern border? These migrants from third world countries with little or no health standards when it comes to vaccinations. It seems that more then drugs, victims of human trafficking and maybe even terrorists making their way into USA because of the heightening crisis at our Southern border.
When will the political deniers in the Washington Swamp wake up and do their sworn duty to protect the citizens of our nation

They need to be voted out and sent home. Investigate the ones who need to be to see where those piles of money came from.
