By the way, I honestly wasn't being sarcastic or trying to sound negative. If there is anyone who can tell me he is 100% certain I will wake up tomorrow morning, let me know.

I am willing to bet $100 that you will wake up tomorrow.

However I am not willing to bet much further for some future date right now.

And with my $100 riding on it, I will be there to administer CPR if needed.

It's much like financial investments. The safest ones yield the lowest returns. The most risky ones offer the higest returns, but they also offer a greater possibility of loss. So, much like playing the lottery, each individual must find his or her own comfort zone where there is sufficient enjoyment, optimal reward, and an acceptable potential for loss.
