My eyes went directly to the receipt before reading that the booze had been purchased at a military base. I worked in a pkg. store while going back to school and immediately thought "Man, that's CHEAP." Still, if the taxpayers are paying for it, it isn't right.

(on a related note: did you know there's more tax paid, percentage-wise, on a six pack of beer than there is a diamond ring?)

Sometimes things get passed along in email chain letters that distort the actual events or facts, but I remember reading about this when it happened. It was probably just one instance of dozens, I'm sure.
