I'm guessing extreme corrupt leaders in those Countries and nothing will change.

Thanks Sully. It appears if they were using aid to benefit citizens they would remain there. Sad.

I know foreign aid is a lot more complicated on the surface than it seems, that we give money to certain countries in order to keep them from the influence of other countries such as China and Russia, but I am convinced we're definitely not getting much in return for our money.

I wish we could just do away with all foreign aid except for humanitarian purposes. Our foreign aid is so schizophrenic; for example, we give a huge sum to Israel, but four times that much to their enemies. Where is the logic in that?

Thanks Mike. I've never been a big proponent of foreign aid so doing away with it completely would be my choice.
