We have skylight windows in the ceiling in our breezeway upstairs here where I live and the other day when I left for an errand I heard a noise up there like maybe a bird flying around so when I got home I looked good and it was a hummingbird stuck in the enclosure trying to fly out and he could not get out.

... so I got my stepladder and tried to reach him with a broom and could not so flagged down a man on the way to his car to climb up with a broom and sweep him out....was so very glad we could rescue him.

..should have done it before I left but glad I did later anyway...he was worn out bless his little sweet heart....I love all animals and birds etc....that's not the first time I have had
to figure out how to get a hummingbird out of there & will keep on as long as they get stuck...their instinct is to try to fly thru the glass but they don't understand it just won't work!

I adore all hummingbirds! They are such a delight to watch and feed. Glad you were able to get the little guy out.

Have many colorful aviators visiting our water facility, still can't get over how they move changing direction in a flick of an eye. :-)
