Take away the illegal voters who can only vote b/c they've broken yet another law and have a driver's license obtained by fraudulent means and we'd still be a decade away from getting close to turning "blue".   That said, the huge urban areas are like most other states and are predominately Democrat. A lot of that is from the influx of people moving here to work from CA and back East and bringing their failed politics with them.   It really wouldn't hurt for Texas to have a recession so those yahoos will be out of a job and skedaddle back home.

THAT said, a lot of this talk about turning blue is wishful thinking and many Republicans and semi-conservative Democrats being anti-Ted Cruz in the last senate race.   Of course the stupid lefties would fall for Beto's BS and hopefully they'll see now that he is even dumber than they are.

But, the leftists who think Texas will suddenly swing the other way should hold their breath until that happens. I guarantee you they'll turn blue before Texas will.
