I believe gold was above $1800 back in August of 2011. Gold at over $1400 is a 6-year high from Sep 2013.

Thanks Unluckyone. In the past several years I felt it was being artificially manipulated below what it should be.

As long as government & politics invisible hand has overt & covert involvement in determining gold value and not free market - the see saw pricing is expected :-(

Sometimes it cost more per ounce to get it out of the ground than what you get for it.
Need a gold claim with a good return per yard.
I watch Gold Rush and they process huge amounts of dirt to get 1,000 ounces or more during the mining season.

THanks JAP. If it continues to go up bet a lot of people will have a pan down at the nearest creek.
