For once, I liked the "OK, Boomer" memes because you'd most likely have to be a Boomer to understand them. In fact, you'd need to be a Boomer to "get" some of those memes. ("I know nuth-ink!"

(did you know those old Soviet ballistic missile subs - called boomers- were so large they had a huge Jacuzzi in them? Did you also know that we could track their subs with ease until Clinton allowed the USSR to buy highly advanced milling machines to make their propellers make less cavitation/sound in the water?)

When I'm reading the comments under a climate change article and someone says "OK, Boomer" to a skeptic, I reply with "OK, Doomer."

Lefties are always accusing the right of not having a sense of humor, but the right OWNS memes.

Thanks Mike. I am a boomer so realize generations younger than mine blame our generation for all the problems. They've not looked deeply enough to realize some of the hippies of that era were co-opted by money and power, and in doing so left their moral compass somewhere back in the 60's. We see that on full clown car parade in congress right now. I find those boomers reprehensible and wonder if they had a moral compass in the first place. They destroyed the American dream for the rest of us who believe in it.

I try to not stereotype the younger generations b/c I remember being young and wanting to "fix" the world's ills, too. I resent being lumped into the worst of my generation b/c all I did when I was the young one's age was pay my taxes, broke no laws (other than smoking a bit of pot) and kept my head down and was a good citizen.

"They destroyed the American dream for the rest of us who believe in it." Couldn't have said it any better. The young people today need to look long and hard at the past and records of those who actually mortgaged their future; all they have to do is look at the older folks they're standing arm-in-arm with.

You said "The young people today need to look long and hard at the past and records of those who actually mortgaged their future; all they have to do is look at the older folks they're standing arm-in-arm with."

Brilliant description of Stockholm syndrome which I feel has been created through media social engineering. Just my opinion.

T/Y I was thinking of and subtly referring to Bernie Sanders and Liz Warren, among others. You know socialism's major accomplishment over the last hundred years? 100 million dead and rising.

I'm surprised truesee hasn't posted any stories about Trump pardoning the soldiers or beginning the procedure for taking private land here in Texas to build the wall. I thought about doing it, but....

Thanks Mike. Given Agenda 21 of population reduction I wonder what the magic formula for the US would be under either of them? [Shudder]
