That is a debatable question.
He did assist in putting down the attacker.

Some Brit twit on Twitter was saying "See Americans? You don't need a gun, all you need is a Narwhal tusk and a fire extinguisher." (In case you didn't read the article, two bystanders used those things to attack the assailant)

In the first place, I doubt any murderer or any other violent crime offender would be let out of prison on a work release program and in the second place, if the guy had tried that here in Texas or any other open or concealed carry state, I sincerely doubt he would have stabbed anyone after the first one.

And, while I'm at it, the mayor of London - Sadiq Khan - deserves a big share of the blame for this attack. Oh, he didn't carry out the attack, but his lenient policies helped encourage it and other like-crimes.

Your chance of being shot by a gun in the UK is pretty slim, but the odds of getting whacked with a machete are much, much greater.

You can be severely beaten or sometimes killed in some cities in the UK for merely wearing the wrong football/soccer jersey. That only happens here in Philadelphia.
