I did not realize there are that many wet markets in NYC. Slaughtered on the spot and sold is risky to the consumer.
I worked in a slaughter house where there were hogs slaughtered by the thousands but was done under sanitary conditions with federal meat inspectors on duty during the slaughter to inspect for sick animals. Also inspectors during the cut up and processing of the final product.
Selling meat products to the consumer needs strict controls.

They need to close there Virus labs as well.
