Just read that the banks are processing the larger loans ahead of smaller loans.
Why you ask. The banks get a larger origination fee on a larger loan all in one shot. Banks are making billions on origination fees.

Piddly chump change loan gets a chump change origination fee for doing the same work as a larger loan.
