what is the world coming to??

what is the world coming to??

this mass killing at a school where kids are trying to better themselves?

the race issues brought on by don imus radio commentary

the online predators who prey on children

the nuclear threats by iran, north korea, etc.

the political divisions and scandals we hear about everyday

the beating up on elderly population

the useless war that shows no signs of ending

the global warming thats killing off species and threatening ways of life

i'm really concerned for my children.they are two and one years old.i feel so sorry for what they will face later in life.having to worry about not only gangs, drugs and violence but also world wars, global warming and rising prices that will make their world a very harsh, evil, scary place to live.i'll be nearing 50 when they graduate high school........

I'm confused about the last point - "global warming thats killing off species and threatening ways of life".

Can you please provide an example of that? Thanks!

Mike, let me offer you some advice here. I use to get so worked up over all the bad stuff happening in the world when my girls were babies, that I would throw up. But, they will be growing up with this iin their lives everyday and will become numb to it. It is people my age and older that are going to have a hard time with the world. We can remember a time when there was not all of this stuff going on. It has been a threat most of my childrens' scholastic life. They have to learn to deal with it their own way. Or else they will have nerve problems and other disorders.

But why should anyone resort to having to be "Numb"? The numbness is like a bandaid for a stab wound. A shortcut around the real issues.

I think Mike brings up very good points. It doesen't mean you have to sit in a fetal position, in the corner of your bedroom and cry your eyes out. Just be very cognizant of your surroundings with focus and analyzation.

Know what's eminent and be prepared. This train is on a B line to history in the making baby...LOL....... All the sages foretold these events.

As long as the human race does not change their prioroties, life will still be met with some weariness. Turning a blind eye is not the answer.

I'll never change the world but I can be well aware of any form of insanity that my interfere with my insanity....LOL

Emily, very interesting source of "proof". The UK press is a bastion of truth now? Everything is attributable to global warming nowadays -- even big snowstorms. If Shakespeare wrote a play about global warming it would be a popular comedy.
