Your $600 check is in the mail!

Published:

Even though he demanded "wasteful spending items" be removed, Trump still signed the $900 billion relief package. School House Rock taught us a bill becomes law after being signed by the President, but we're talking about Trump.

Melanie probably whispered in his ear " Listen fool, you took time to pardon people you employed but ran afoul of the law, do some good before leaving office, you do know that your supporters are also counting on that money. Come to your senses you lunkhead, l am being tarred with the same brush."

He should have vetoed it. All the money (our taxes) that is going to every other country in the world, should have stayed here in the USA to help US.
331 Million people, into $900 Billion = $2,719 for every one of us. Instead we get a lousy $600. WTG congress. Good job. NOT!

G,
It's rather funny, well not, but when it came time to come up with the money for Tax reform during Trump's era, it took two shakes of a duck's tail, and it was there.
I say half a loaf is better than none at all, there are millions of families who cannot wait! Kinda like winning a starting JP right now, instead of holding out & hoping for it to climb to $200mil & then perhaps winning.
Cash, that's all we need.

Stack47, I'd like for you to go back to your previous blog and give me an honest answer if you can.

OMG he waited "ONE WEEK" before signing the bill, how shameful !
Did you say anything while the democrats procrastinated about this relief bill for three months because she (Nancy Pelosi) thought it might help the President? That is TRUTH, she spoke those words. You say a half is better than none, right I agree, but this bill is only 1/20 of a loaf, so please tell me what the people are going to do when the money runs out, have you thought that far ahead. The $600 payment is paltry NO matter how you want to slice it, compared to what the pork for other Countries get. I'm assuming you care for other Countries more than you do the U.S.A. Am I right in assuming that? Wow, you say Cash that's all WE need? I would like for you to tell everyone what they're going to do after the Cash runs out. I would think everyone would welcome your opinion on this !

People are still drinking Trump's Kool-aid so they don't see how weird their naked emperor is acting.

Trump had until Saturday January 2, to sign, veto, or do nothing, was even told on Thursday and again on Saturday, the Democrats agreed with him and would vote today to change the stimulus payments to the $2000 Trump asked for. After calling something a disgrace and knowing the Democrats were going to try to give him what he asked for before the deadline, would a sane person still sign it?

Mitch and the repubs as a whole wanted nothing to do witj ANOTHER stimulus check after the $1,200 one was sent out. For 9 months Mitch sat on it while the Dems pressed for another one. One would think the Dems were fighting for checks to go to Only Democratic supporters. I never heard Trump ever talk about stimulus checks at his rallies or bring up the topic to his adoring fans, all you heard week after week was " fraud, rigging."
Get the $600.00 out into the hands of the people and then get back to the table. If the Georgia Senate race goes the Dems way, you going to see checks flowing.

MADDOG10, Even though the School House Rock version of "I'm just a Bill" was for children, it was accurate in explaining how a bill becomes law. Which part of both the Democrat majority House and the Republican majority Senate had to pass the Stimulus Bill before it sending it to Trump confused you or are you just preaching more ignorance to your MAGA choir?

If you're as honest as you claim to be, let's talk about stimulus package the House passed on May 15, 2020 that Moscow Mitch pretended never existed.

Noise, it's truly amazing how the Trump supporters not only feign ignorance when confronted with facts, they change the subject and try to blame anyone but Trump. The "liars for Trump" are bad enough, but now we have the "bullies for Trump" making demands on my Blog. Should we pee our pants every time someone with a bold and in all caps ID makes demands or should we just "pity the fool"?

And BTW DOG, Trump's delay in signing the stimulus bill cost millions of Americans $300 each in unemployment benefits.

Stack47,
If anyone is ignorant it is YOU. I didn't call you Ignorant, so who the hell are you to call me ignorant?
I said an Honest answer. I don't care who YOU think sat on it. I asked you if you cared for other Countries instead of the U.S.A. I don't preach nothing I use common sense when I ask a Question I don't use ignorance. You still haven't answered the questions i asked, So, now that you've called me Ignorant I'm going to say it's your Ignorance that is the problem. and BTW, it's Maddog to you. How would like if I started calling you s**tTE47?

This was the bill passed by the house on May15th
The sweeping legislation, dubbed the “Heroes Act, passed 208-199. Fourteen Democrats defected and opposed the bill, reflecting concerns voiced both by moderates and liberals in the House Democratic caucus about the bill’s content and the leadership-driven process that brought it to the floor. The bill won support from just one Republican: Rep. Peter T. King of New York.
Wow, the house even had concerns about the bills content, and the leadership DRIVEN PROCESS ! *** 14 democrats defected too.

All this political talk is making me hungry! Whatever I get from the stimulous check I'm going to buy groceries. I'll probably buy a roast and some potatoes . Me and the misses polished off a 8lb ham in three days. Belch!

Must be a reading comprehension problem because saying "just preaching more ignorance" is not even in the same ball park with calling someone ignorant. Yep you said you wanted "an Honest answer" as if my answer could be a lie.

"OMG he waited "ONE WEEK" before signing the bill, how shameful !" and he vetoed the end of the year defense budget that gave pay raises to our military. I'll save you some time, Trump will probably say he vetoed it because of the "pork" in the bill, but the defense bills he signed in 2017, 2018, and 2019 had more pork and money Trump wanted to use to build the wall he said Mexico would pay for.

FYI, the topic here is about the $600 stimulus check and maybe $2000 unless the REPUBLICAN run Senate says "no".

Yep "3838", Trump signed the year end defense spending bills the last three years. Maybe it's just different this year because of Trump's "lame duck" status. Or just one of those weird coincidences.

I'd like to talk about "pick-3 and pick-4 spot play systems" Ben, but someone had difficulty finding the definition of "ignorance".

Ignorance: lack of knowledge, learning, information, etc.

Lots of confusion between what's in the COVID-19 Economic Relief Bill and the annual end of the year Defense Budget and the usual reason is because someone read it "somewhere" on the Internet. The end results is lots of misinformation is spread. All the Kool-Aid drinkers will believe the nonsense and will do their best to persuade the very gullible to believe it too.

I posted the School House Rock version "I'm just a Bill making it very easy to understand the process of how a bill becomes law. The only thing different about these two Bills and most is the President Vetoed the Defense Budget Bill and demanded $2000 in direct payments after signing the COVID-19 Economic Relief Bill. Both the House and the Senate need 2/3rds majority to override the Defense Budget veto and can amend the Relief Bill to $2000 by majority vote.

With two different votes, the House passed the veto override and the Relief amendment both with over a 2/3rds majority. The Senate must also have a 2/3rds majority to override the veto, but like in the house, only need a majority to pass the Relief Bill amendment. Honest sites will explain this years Defense Budget has most of the same "pork" as in the last three Defense Budgets, but we all know why people are making such a big deal over this year's budget.

Regardless of what the nut job conspiracy theorists are saying, Treasury Sec Mnuchin, the Leader of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House all signed off on the Relief Bill and both parties signed off on the Defense Budget before votes were taken in either chamber. Making both bills bipartisan efforts.
