The entire UK Basketball Team including coaches took a knee.

And the Big Blue Nation is divided!

Apparently it was during the playing of the National Anthem. I didn't see it and probably the only ones that did were the people at the game because ESPN was showing the final minute of another game when it happened. I guess it all comes down to how people express their First Amendment Rights (as long as it's not "yelling fire in a crowded building").

As usual I stirred the pot a little by asking how many people watching TV actually stand for the playing of the National Anthem or are they in the kitchen getting that snack and their drink of choice before the game starts. All the discussion started after this Wildcat team finally showed their real potential with a decisive win and without knowing exactly why they chose to take a knee. Wonder what would be said had the lost in a decisive manner.

Update:

So far no explanation of why they decided to take a knee, but found out one of their practice players died and might be why.

There was no cause of death listed for the 22 year old Ben Jordan. He was a 6'9" pitcher on the UK baseball team that played high school basketball and was asked to join the team as a practice player.
