Freedom Of Speech

FREEDOM OF SPEECH
In this country we have something called free speech. It is our right. It's in the first amendment of our constitution. We are allowed to say whatever we want about anything. That free speech allows us to debate, argue, and discuss things here, like we've been doing for some time now. We don't always agree about things, but that's okay. That is what freedom of speech is all about. It's about having and discussing opposing views and being able to do it freely.
Here's the problem.
When that right is taken away from us it is called censorship. Which means someone else can decide what we can or can't say. And that is where we are at right now. There are a lot of people and social media sites being shut down right now for various reasons.
Some people are happy or glad about that, because they don't like or disagree with what some people say or their viewpoints. But one thing for sure, the ones being shut down are not happy about it. Now if you were the one being shut down how would you feel? Would you be happy about it? Of course not. What would you want other people to do? Would you want them to stand up for you, support you, speak up for you, to help you, fight for you? Yes you would. And that is what we all need to do now. We all need to support, help, and fight for each other. Regardless of our views or opinions.
Our freedom of speech is one of the most valuable rights we have in our country. Many others do not have that right. It is why they come here. We need to protect that right at all costs for ALL of us. We can NEVER let anyone take it away from us. Remember, either we all have the right to speak freely or none of us do. There is NO in between.

It looks like the Kool-Aid drinkers can't distinguish the difference between "WANTING to decide" what others may or may not want to say or do and full censorship. From some of the stuff I read, and heard, some fans do in fact want to censor a basketball team and coaches actions. But WANTING to do something and censorship are two different things in the English speaking world.
There are people that programmed their voice mail to say "press 2 for Trump speak" and it appears some of them are on LP.
OH, and lots of people WANT trump impeached AGAIN and this time removed from office. Might get one out of two.
So yeah, Freedom of Speech has to be controlled by actions that follow.
Just because the President says “ Now go up to the Capitol and fight for your Freedom” don’t make it legal. The FBI is knocking on doors as we speak to those who thought their Freedom of Speech was a right to do whatever, whenever.
Kamala Harris even set up a website to raise bail money for the few protesters in Minnesota that did get arrested. And now she's the vice president. smh. Doesn't look like she's going to try to stop any future BLM & antifa riots. Isn't that just great for the country?
So don't give us all this hypocritical BS about how the capitol riots were so bad, when you and the democrats had NOTHING at all, to say all summer long when things were way, way, way worse in Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, DC, and other cities.
In The case of the Riots at the Capitol, these guys were given “ the green light” by non other than the President of the United States, see- Apples to Oranges. Violence in any form should & must be condemned by anyone, but this “ don’t tell me” stuff is irrational thinking. In fact Black March with a Purpose in mind, Martin Luther King and others did it, so “ don’t tell me” they don’t have a right to march. They rioted alright, which was criminal, but your clan breaching the Capitol was taking it too far G. You know this as well.
Listen he "DID NOT" give them a green light to Riot, and if you can prove to me he said just to Riot, I'll shut my mouth. He gave them an OK to Protest, NOT Riot. That is a given right to protest, Also can you prove to us it was the protestors who rioted and not infiltrator's. That would be the difference between Apples and Oranges.
Short but sweet and to the point. Man I'm good!

I wasn't on the jury acquitting OJ so my opinion changes nothing and neither does any of our opinions on what Trump told the crowd and how they perceived it.
"they need to take back our country. So let’s walk down Pennsylvania Avenue." The results are on video.
If you saying all those supporters are idiots to misinterpret the President, well that’s on both of them. As for Freedom of Speech, it does come with strings attached. Ever heard of people being sued for libel & unproven accusations? That Bog Dog is why you need to be careful of what you say, cause you could end up paying through your A** for you assume is Freedom of Speech. Just as you can’t board a plane and say “ l have a bomb” try telling that to the FBI went they wheel you off to jail.
Come on Maddog, you smarter than this.
"It takes a special type of stupid to think the left would dress up like the right and raid the the Capitol building to change the outcome of an election they just own."
And speaking of libel, that kid wearing a MAGA hat smiling at Nathan Phillips during a Lincoln Memorial rally, may have got millions in a libel settlement. So it's obviously true, there are strings attached to Freedom of Speech.
If something happened and we say it didn't, then it didn't.
If something didn't happen and we say it did, then it did.

Gotcha!!!
Khrushchev said "we too have the same Right in the Soviet Union". "All of our citizens have the Right to stand on the top step of the Kremlim and call you a dumb SoB too".
Freedom of Speech has a "absence of malice" disclaimer which more applies more to public and business speech. Most social media outlets say attack the words and ideas not the author. Facebook is full of "shares" where some people have no idea what they just shared. News media can make unproved claims as long as they're "absent of malice".
While it's true we are allowed to say whatever we want about anything in the privacy of our homes, be careful what you say in public because if it's malicious and you're sued, you might not have a home to say it in.
I wonder if that will work. Think the guy in the horned headdress, a QNon shaman needs a pardon, how about the guy sitting in Pelosi’s chair? Any thoughts?
