No mask, No entry, No service, No questions

Published:

Saw this sign on entrance of store where I was going to buy lottery tickets. The county has a 6.65% rate of positive Covid-19 cases. When I went in a woman was buying scratch-off and I noticed she wasn't wearing a mask so I backed up. And I saw the clerk didn't have on a mask either. Didn't say a word, just walked out the door.

Had there been no sign, no problem, a sign saying "enter at your own risk", no problem, but why put up a sign with rules your clerk doesn't follow. Went to another store with a "please wear a mask" sign and got my tickets.

Me not liking going to Walmart because of the amount of people has a new meaning. Thankfully Walmart enforces the mask rule. Bad example but I killed 3 chic-F-lay employees with one nugget. HA!

Please don't ban me Todd.

That was a wise choice, if the sign says no mask no service they should stick to it.
You always do the right thing, brave little soldier.
Just so you know, the covid probably jumped off the clerk and is stuck to your head.

Just found the clerk was fired by the owner apparently because of a complaint made by another customer.

Every store l have seen out here has a " No mask, no service " sign on the front door. In fact, when l purchased a few tickets in Milpitas on Monday, this guy took 2 steps in from the front door with no mask, and the guy behind the counter " shooed " him out.
Turns out the guy was coming in to buy a mask, which the store sells, however, the guy had to put his nose & mouth in the elbow section of his long sleeve shirt before entering to point out which mask he wanted to purchase.
And this..
A deadly COVID-19 outbreak at Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center has grown to more than 90 cases, the Santa Clara County Public Health Department said Tuesday.

At least 15 patients and at least 77 staff have been infected, with one additional staff member still needing verification on a lab result, the health department said.

On Christmas Day, an employee wearing an air-powered tree costume walked the hallways of the emergency department at the hospital. Kaiser said the costume "likely" is responsible for the employees getting COVID-19, including a registration clerk who later died.

The health department said the source of the outbreak is still under investigation.

That was a smart thing to do. If they can't adhere to their own rules, it's a no-brainer to go elsewhere.

I don't like wearing a mask, but someone said you can either wear a mask now or risk being on a ventilator later. Six months ago not one person in my county had the virus and I didn't know anyone anywhere that had it. As of today, 1100 confirmed cases with 4 dead and our neighboring county with the closest hospital has 1654 cases with 27 deaths.

Most stores have plexiglas shields and hand sanitizer on the counters. And most encourage wearing masks unlike the "no mask no entry" store I went into yesterday that demanded wearing a mask, but didn't follow their own rules.

Let's hope this is a "once in every 100 years" pandemic.

About a month ago I was at a store buying my pick 3 tickets when a man walked in without a mask. The clerk told him to put on a mask or leave the store. He ignored him . As a result an arguement started and a brawl. They were wrestling right near the donut rack wherw the choclate filled donuts are. The cops showed up and the store was closed.
The numbers have gone up and down in our state. At the end of the summer they were leveling off but they have risen. Most people are getting tired of wearing a mask but I've gotten used to it.   There have been many cases around the state because alot of people don't want to wear a mask . As a result the death rate has risen. I know people who refused to wear a mask and died from covid. A big price for being stubborn.

There are lots of just plain rude people and very easy to spot. In lines some think they need to get as close to the person in front of the them as they can regardless of any social distancing suggestions and orders. Many people practiced social distancing especially during cough and cold season long before this pandemic, but usually waited until after Black Friday at Walmart.

There seems to be a problem getting the vaccine distributed so wearing masks and not getting up and personal with the person in line in front of us will last for a few more months. The mask sign is still on the door, but the clerk inside was wearing a mask. When asked what happened to the other clerk, was told they had a "disagreement with the owner".

Doctors are talking about an even more contagious version of Covid-19 is making the rounds and one of Kentucky's Senators, Rand Paul is saying people that already had it don't need to wear a mask. As if setting an example and encouraging others to wear a mask means nothing.

Can't understand why anyone would down play the virus effect on lives but many are doing it.
