Things will definitely be different this time around.
.
For 1: This is not going to be like the impeachment trial we had where the Republicans in the Senate were locked in, where many were saying beforehand, like Lindsay Graham " There is nothing to see here, this is just a waste of time."

2: It's possible that Trump could be exonerated, but no theater & BS like where that incompetent conservative politician said that " Trump was treated worse than Jesus. " its that nonsense that this trial will not permit.

3. It's going to be riveting, count on it!

Said many times that a grand jury can indict a ham sandwich so the burden of proof is not a high bar. Something else very problematic for the Trump Organization is in New York grand jury witnesses automatically receive transactional immunity.

It means witnesses can never be prosecuted for any crime involved in their testimony before the grand jury. Including witnesses who actually confess to crimes before a grand jury can never be prosecuted for those crimes.

Someone that was part of committing a crime on behalf of the defendant are granted immunity and could testify they were in fact involved in that criminal activity.

I agree, it's going to be very riveting.

I would love to see 45 take the stand in he's own defense. I can just imagine him saying..
" You do realize that l was President of the United States" as though that carries any weight in THIS court.
As they say " you can run, but you can't hide."

Nixon believed as President he had "absolute powers", exempt from prosecution, but never tested in court because Ford gave him a full pardon. The Trump lawyers already tried that.

Regardless of what happens to Trump, many Republicans are still making outlandish claims and some won't be reelected because of it.

"Vote for me even though I voted against you getting $1400 and $300 a week if you were unemployed."

It never ended for John Gotti either until he was finally convicted and imprisoned. This criminal is just out on bail waiting to be convicted and sentenced.
