After losing an election and after the Inauguration, could the former president be reinstated?

Published:

According to Article II, Second 1 of the United States Constitution any one term President is illegible for a second term, but there has to be an election followed by a joint session of Congress certifying the Electoral College results. Another option for a one-termer is being elected Vice-President and becoming President after the removal, resignation, or death of the sitting President. Though a real long shot another way is in the succession process as Speaker of the House, President pro tempore of the Senate or a Cabinet secretaries.

While Presidents are allowed two terms, the terms don't have to be consecutive so Jimmy Carter is eligible to be elected President at age 100 in 2024.

Saw many opinions saying the former president cannot be reinstated, but strangely enough can't find one article or opinion explaining how that could be possible in the middle of another president's term. If I recall correctly Civics and Government classes are taught to in middle school though some high schools offer advanced courses. If someone can explain how reinstatement is possible especially by August, we'd all like to hear it.

Trump is a fool, but he's no idiot. He and his advisors have combed repeatedly through the results of the election and they " Know" that according to the results: The country for the most part hung onto the conservatives in most of the election- what Trump and his advisors also know is that the Country wanted " Change at the Top of the ticket." He can kick and scream as much as he wants, but the proof is in the pudding.

Take a look at this: Trump's poll numbers NEVER went above 50% throughout his tenure as President. If fact he left the WH with a low of 34% approval rating. That is unheard of- added to the fact is that this talk about " Coming back in 2024 to take the WH, is nothing short of a pipe dream. He points to the crowds at his rallies, which mean nothing in the grand scheme of things because when it really counted, the Nation as a whole told him that " 4 years was long enough."

Knowing how vindictive he is, can you imagine the bloodbath that would have ensue had he won a 2nd term, all those who had something to say under their breath would have been targeted for replacement- we see it going on NOW, even while he is no longer in Office. Georgia's Gov and Sec of State are in his crosshairs, so is Nevada's Head Honcho's. The guy is totally unfit for office. To think had he WON, he would have carried himself like an Emperor, thinking that he cannot be touched, probably would have screamed at reporters, gone after political figures of his own party as well. When Nixon left, there was a sigh of relief, the Repub party forged ahead and never looked back, fast forward to our time, and you having current members of Congress flying down to Mar A Lago to first get 45's blessings before " doing anything political"...that's some brand new nonsense.

The guy got so comfortable at lying that he had a doozy after his loss. He said Leaders of other countries were calling him up and asking " Mr President, what the Hell is going on there, you clearly won from what we witnessed!"

That was a lie for the ages-at least we don't have to hear it being uttered from him standing behind the Seal of the President of the United States again.
