Should getting vaccinated be a condition of employment?

Apparently it is at Houston's Methodist Hospital. "The lawsuit was filed by 117 workers led by Jennifer Bridges, a nurse at Houston Methodist's Baytown hospital who declined the vaccine because she considers it experimental and dangerous. The judge disagreed, writing: "This claim is false, and it is also irrelevant."

According to the judge the nurse's opinion about the vaccine is irrelevant and without any proof, her claim is false. IMO, people should not be forced to get vaccinated, but when it becomes a condition of employment, they should not only get the best medical advice, but also legal advice.

* Last year around this time or maybe a little earlier- a Care home named " Gateway " in Hayward CA had a number of deaths which were attributed to the Covid virus. Turned out that the residents were infected not by family,, but by the nurses & caregivers.

* Going off that, l can see where Houston Methodist Hospital draws the line when it comes to their nursing staff, it's their hospital & they make the rules governing their establishment. These nurses are free to find other employment at hospitals that will accommodate their way of thinking.

* As an example: When we go on a job interview, we do not tell the owner or owners how to run their business nor what rules they should embrace or remove from their application.

If it is required for nurses to get the jab then no one should be allowed to enter a medical facility unless they have had the jab.
No one should be allowed medical treatment unless they have had the jab.

Wanna bet these nurses are part of the Maga crowd. They should reach out to Trump and ask him if the vaccines are safe.. after all, he and he's family got their shots...

The article said 170 out of 26,000 employees hadn't been vaccinated would be fired if they weren't by June 21, but 117 of them wanted to hear their claim is false and irrelevant by a judge.

According to the judge getting vaccinated is a condition of employment. The judge never said anything about entering the hospital.
