Would not know squat on how to double clutch either.

Come to think of it I had an older truck at one time with the column shifter for the standard transmission. The column shifter got old and would not shift right.
I cut a hole in the floor board above the transmission shifter levers and installed straight rods sticking up on each lever which made two rods sticking up. Shifted the transmission that way for awhile. Had to remember what was what when driving.
That would have been a brain twister for a thief.

all the more reason to invest in stick shift lessons LOL

I learned stick shift on a '42 Willy's jeep................It was the good old days.

I'll take a stick over an auto any day of the week and twice on Sunday's.

My dad had bought a used 54 Chevy with 3 on the tree. He would push in the clutch, and I would shift. Same thing with his 66 Beetle. I was like 11-13 at the time. After that I was hooked.
