Strong-minded people wind up with decent government, the weak-minded open the door for tyranny.

"With freedom comes responsibility towards each other, individually and collectively. Over the last seventeen months, we’ve been browbeaten about how we exercise that responsibility by people who swallowed the propaganda from the government, big pharma, and the media who aided and abetted them.

Propaganda that made them dismiss legitimate concerns about the adverse impacts of lockdown and the risks of vaccines that have been rushed through without adequate safety trials. Propaganda that made them unthinkingly dismiss people’s concerns about the loss of freedom resulting from coronavirus restrictions. Propaganda and blatant fear porn that made the prospect of any rational debate about our responsibility towards each other almost impossible.

So, we have the delicate task of explaining how fear was manipulated to make many people willingly give up their freedom. Delicate because let’s be honest, no one will want to admit they’ve been had, will they?

Our freedoms are ours by right. They are not there for the state to take away in the name of dealing with an emergency and to ‘give back’ to us. As soon as people accept the state has a right to deny us our freedoms to deal with an emergency, we’re on the slippery slope to surrendering our autonomy for a long time, possibly  for ever.

Over the last seventeen months, as a consequence of a barrage of fear porn from the government and the media, too many people have been willing to surrender their freedoms at the behest of the state in return for an illusion of safety. As some restrictions are lifted, albeit only temporarily, we have an opportunity to restate the case for our freedom against the state. We cannot afford to squander that opportunity…"

Alexander Hamilton:
-It's not tyranny we desire; it's a just, limited, *federal government."

-There is a certain enthusiasm in liberty, that makes human nature rise above itself, in acts of bravery and heroism.

*Thomas Jefferson also similarly advocated for a small government that would essentially get out of the way of private lives and free enterprise.
