I don't believe his bs about aiming for her side to not hurt her too bad for a minute.

He's running backwards away from a charging grizzly and he's worried about hurting her, so he carefully aims at her side? Yeah, right.

Shotgun?? Buckshot??? I'd have slugs in that shot gun. Years back there was a grizzly that was eating people BC Canada (it got a taste for human flesh), ranger with a .223 took multiple shots to bring it down, he was under powered.
