and it's fueled by discontent with stances on vaccines and the Capitol riot. Trump did say he is "against mask and vaccine mandates", but he can't ride the fence by being for vaccinations and against mandates especially when many elected public officials are making mandates and saying ".832 million Americans died from covid". The total number of Americans cases is now 59.4 million. 

The red state primaries are going to be very interesting this year when many of them will have Trump backed candidates against mainstream Republicans. Then the real question becomes "will the losers' backers vote for the winner in November" or will they stay home?

The Jan 6 commission will play a huge role too.
