Oh how true!

I was living in St Charles and working in Martland Heights.

I walked into a convenience store one day where I went to buy a newspaper and play lotto and there was a policeman in the store, standing at a podium with the St Charles police insignia on it.

I asked the clerk what was up and he said "Oh there's an officer here all the time now."

It is really dangerous here.
On my way home, last week, I stopped at a gas station I frequent. Across the street was 7 to 10 police cars, a man was shot dead, sitting in his vehicle on the parking lot of the 7-Eleven.
Yesterday, I was back in the area, near the same place, is a "Dollar General" I often shop at, the door was boarded up, but, it was open, so I went in, the cashier told me, "the manager robbed the store"?
I think I am going to stop shopping in that area.
