For Palin to win, her lawyers can’t just prove the Times was wrong, which the paper has already said it was. She must show that the editors and writers at the paper acted with malice, ignoring the facts on purpose to sully her name.
Erik Wemple of the Washington Post said the case, in which the ex-gov is seeking damages, “will help demarcate the line between really bad journalism and libelous journalism.”

I'd be surprised if she won because it seems to me more like very sloppy journalism than outright malice, but who knows. Maybe her lawyers have a smoking gun we haven't seen yet. Maybe the jury will use the case to send a message that sloppy journalism is just as bad as purposely printing lies. Should be good entertainment in any case.
I know people wish his old a55 would just die already. Problem is, neither God nor the Devil want him!
