It's really none of my business, as long as they are good parents. However, I don't agree with her decision. I've always been a strong feminist, but this has nothing to do with women's rights. Many women over 50 have babies with serious birth defects. She took a risk. She'll be close to 80 when these children are graduating high school. I know people who raise their grandchildren and do a lot better job than the birth parents. However, there's a reason we were made this way and nature hasn't make the same mistake for thousands of years. I sometimes get sad because I never had children, but if I were financially (and emotionally) able to adopt, that's probably what I'd do instead of giving birth. There are so many children living in foster homes and state run facilities who need loving parents to adopt them. Many of them are handicapped or have HIV so nobody wants them, so I don't know why women over 60 have to bring 2 more souls into this world. I am happy for her and wish her a lot of good health. As I said, it's none of my business, but since you asked....
