Presidents almost never have much direct control over gas prices.
Published:
But that doesn't stop people from giving credit to the President when gas prices are lower. The Republicans are saying Biden "simply hasn’t let oil companies drill enough", but the facts show "oil production has actually increased from about 11 million barrels per day to 11.5 million barrels through 2021. The Biden administration held the single largest-ever auction of oil and gas drilling leases from the Gulf of Mexico. The real reason U.S. oil production hasn’t returned to peak production levels is because the Oil industry's desire to earn a buck.
But facts and a liar liar, pants on fire award will never stop the tin foil MAGA wearing Trump Kool-Aid drinkers from parroting every fairy tail they read.

* I may be repeating myself here, but Mo brooks is a character- he said that he told Trump that there was no mechanism in place to remove Biden & re install 45 as President. He said Trump repeatedly called & asked him time & time again to just “ get it done.” Mo said, “ l am a lawyer & what Trump was asking was out of the question, because : Get this” l have to abide by the Constitution.” Really Mo, did we not see you on that stage on Jan 6th where you said to the crowd “ today is the day we take our country back, today we take down names & kick some A**
* l wonder where the “ Constitution “ was in his head on that day- in the frontal lobe or stashed way way in the back where he forgot he took an oath to uphold it when he was sworn in as a Congressman. Now Mo wants to believe he is a “ New Man.”
And that contradicts what a right-wing Las Vegas reporter said. "Biden blames US oil companies for high gasoline prices while his green energy "transition" continues it's assault on US fuels."
You can always tell the "great" reporters, they don't know the difference between "it's" and "its".
