I think Ben Franklin said "Those who give up essential liberty for a little temporary safety deserve neither." And he was probably right.
But it seems to me that a little frontier justice could solve some of the problems now that Democrats have turned vicious criminals loose on society and seldom arrest them, seldom charge them if arrested, set then free with no bail if arrested, and give them very light sentences if tried and found guilty.
