WASHINGTON – Congressman Mark Meadows, leader of the influential House Freedom Caucus, is vocal about his faith and on Wednesday opened up to CBN's "Faith Nation" about his walk with the Lord.

Not long afterward, Boehner said that Meadows requested a meeting with him in his Capitol office, where, within seconds, he said, the new congressman suddenly slid off the couch onto his knees and put his hands in front of his chest in confessional prostration. “Mr. Speaker, please forgive me,” Boehner recalled Meadows saying. Boehner was flabbergasted. He took an extra-long drag on his Camel cigarette before saying, “For what?” Boehner later wrote, “I knew he was carrying a backpack full of knives—and sooner or later he’d try to cut me again with them. Which, of course, he did.”
