The SCOTUS ruled against the EPA because they were LEGISLATING LAW which they are NOT allowed to do.
Only Congress can make laws.
Your political conspiracy theories are a tad ridiculous.

Take the abortion issue, many people think abortion is illegal now, the have no idea that SCOTUS returned this back to the States, 10 Amendment, lawmakers make the abortion laws, who votes for the lawmakers, well we the people that's who. If each State put abortion to the vote, I bet we would only see 3 or 4 states that allowed it and that's what the leftist quacks are afraid of....majority rule, they would be so unhappy that other Americans had a say so.
As far as the EPA, they are out of hand creating laws, slow walking permits, making commerce they don't like pay through the nose and make sure they pay over and above to get their business moving.
Cycles; the tide that went out, is coming back in bigger stronger ten ever
