Another good thought-provoking article, Truesee. Those stuck in their extreme partisan bubbles will not appreciate its deeper message. And before the know-nothings come and complain about the  OC Register being some kind of left-wing rag, I have to point out that it's one of the few right-leaning and libertarian-leaning newspapers with wide circulation still left in California, and a much needed antidote to the far-left LA Times. (Although I have to admit the LA Times often has good coverage of local corruption.)
