do you lose faith in the direction of your country

Published:

i cannot remember in my lifetime seeing as much disillusion and misguidance as i see with this president.i was born months after nixon stepped down so that doesn't qualify and even if i had to compare the two i still say this is a lot worse.nixon lied and made himself untrustworthy but i doubt he is going to take us to hell in a handbasket like bush is doing.since he became president in 2000 he has turned all these countries against us,made war with a small country halfway around the world where all our young men are dying, trying to bring all these illegal aliens into the united states, passed all kinds of dumb laws like the gambling bill, won't sign into law a bill that could help people with parkinson and even vetoed it,turned his back on katrina victims, passed laws so he can spy on the american public and junks the constitution or uses it as he sees fit.anybody is a big improvement over george.'08 can't come fast enough.is it too late to regain our integrity and our standing with the world?

Come on, we all know who's getting that '08 election don't we? Guilliani, that's who. As much as I like Clinton, I don't see it happening. Being a woman in this nation still has its disadvantages, I don't care who you are.

The presidents never had the power to do anything. They are just puppets.
The Bilder Bergeres, Illuminati, Freemasons and others control everything in this country and what happens on the entire planet.

If you look at many of the policies passed over the last 100 yrs or so, you will notice that no matter how bad the opposing party claims the new laws are, when they get into office, they always keep those very same craptacular laws.

Why do so many people want to come here? Why do we have the worlds strongest economy? Why is it that nobody is leaving? Why does anybody care what the rest of the world thinks of us? Why does the world come to us when they are trouble? Why do we have the highest standard of living in the world? Why is it that all these countries that are against us don't stop doing business with us? How come our airlines are usually booked full both ways on international flights? How come the internet is totally open? Why can you talk to anybody on this planet you want to? Why is that you are free to come and go as you please? Why is it that you can say whatever you want, whenever you want? Etc.

I don't get it, I really don't understand why some of you have such a disdain for GW. he is but one man. And Nixon, WTF, Ford, what about Carter, what about Ronald, what about GH, what about Bill? No wait, it is all Bushs' fault. There is so little wrong here in the US you have no idea how good we have it, no matter who's president. If it so bad, do something about it.

And if anyone thinks the next president is going to change anything because of their party affiliation or what they are promising, look at what Harry and Nancy have done since their rise to power, jacks#$%t. Shisters will always be shisters.

Why do so many people want to come here?
Do you mean the terrorist or the illegal immigrants?

Why do we have the worlds strongest economy?
Then why are we always in debt?

Why does the world come to us when they are trouble?
Yep, look at all the good we've done.

Why do we have the highest standard of living in the world?
A majority of "Americans" live in poverty or close to it. How many of us can go a month or two without working and still maintain our standard of living?

Why is it that all these countries that are against us don't stop doing business with us?
Yep, Our trade balances with all other countries looks great to me.

How come the internet is totally open?
Is it? There's a few places i'd like to do business with and CAN'T!!!

Why can you talk to anybody on this planet you want to?
If i can talk to them, then they can talk to me.

Why is it that you can say whatever you want, whenever you want?
Tell that to Imus, Jimmy the Greek, Trent Lott and a whole bunch more.
You have freedom of speech as long as not to many people hear ya.

I'm with Rick, Ron Paul looks like the best candidate, but you can see already how the left/right operatives act like he doesn't even exist. The only time he's mentioned is with the intent to downplay him.

Why do so many people want to come here?
Why do so many of our jobs go out of the country?

Why do we have the worlds strongest economy?
Why are companies allowed to make profits from health care and presciption drugs?

Why is it that nobody is leaving?
Could it be they can't afford the gas?

Why does anybody care what the rest of the world thinks of us?
Why does anybody care what someone thinks of them?

Why does the world come to us when they are trouble?
Why do people borrow money from other people?

Why do we have the highest standard of living in the world?
How many people struggle in this country to make a living?

Why is it that all these countries that are against us don't stop doing business with us?
Corruption and greed?

How come our airlines are usually booked full both ways on international flights?
Are you repeating yourself?

How come the internet is totally open?
How come porn sites have not been shut down, but gambling sites have?

Why can you talk to anybody on this planet you want to? Why is that you are free to come and go as you please? Why is it that you can say whatever you want, whenever you want? Etc.
Ask Don Imus????

I don't get it, I really don't understand why some of you have such a disdain for GW. he is but one man. And Nixon, WTF, Ford, what about Carter, what about Ronald, what about GH, what about Bill? We should demand integrity and take our government back from the greedy, corrupt hands of politicians who make laws to benefit their own pockets, agendas, and large comporations like Walmart, drug companies, and banks. This country can only be saved by us - the people. Not the politicians.

It saddens me that our health care system and prescription drugs are controlled by for profit companies. HELLO! Wake up America!

Avatar jarasan -

Exactly. Just as I thought. Freedom to speak your mind, and not worry about it. You can go to sleep tonight and wake up tommorrow free to speak again! Is anybody knocking at your door? NO. But you know what? If you were in Venezuela, Cuba, China, Russia, Iran, Syria, Nicaragua, Saudi, you might not sleep so soundly.

Bush is arrogant? You haven't met Hillary.

Bush is the worst? You have selective memory.

Health care and prescription drugs should be free? Go to Cuba or Canada if you have cancer, ask Castro. A Spaniard (from Spain) had to come in and save his arse. Literally, what was left of it.

Most of the major advances in curing illness happens here, fact.

Korea right? You mean North Korea right? 90% of north Koreans are starving while Kimmy Jong ILL eats horse meat.

Worse than Castro? Oh yeah. That is brilliant. '50 Chevys and Free rice cookers for everybody! He wanted to launch nukes at us, what a great guy.

Corruption and greed? That is the basis for world economics?

Porn. Whatever makes you happy. You keep paying, your computer keeps slowing down. By the way the gambling sites will cookie and adware you up, until you crawl also.

"A majority of "Americans" live in poverty or close to it. How many of us can go a month or two without working and still maintain our standard of living?" WTF? Stop playing the numbers if you can't afford it. This is absolutely amazing someone would say this.

"Why is it that you can say whatever you want, whenever you want?
Tell that to Imus, Jimmy the Greek, Trent Lott and a whole bunch more." and they still can, but they won't get paid for it, but Mencia, Chapelle, Franken, Soros, Gore, Kennedy, Biden, Reid are OK.

Yeah our standing in the world is really bad, we're dirty rotten scoudrels. What do we need to do to regain respect and integrity in the world? We are resposible for all the world's problems, since 2000? Bush is the anti-christ, yet he is a moron, do you see the contradiction? Ignorance is the playground of evil and satan. There is a lot of parroted lefty propanganda being spewed here continuously.

Please do yourselves a favor and be intellectually honest, where you would you rather be?

Don't believe anything, left or right, without a little bit of research.

I've been East, West, South and North. I will be honest, there is no other place on this EARTH that I would rather be than here, just the way it is. Nothing is perfect, it never will be.

this is a great country we live in or should i say used to be a great country in by gone days you became the president because you stood for the good of the people. it seem as though now they stand for the good of themselves and there buddys. money hungry you bet they are and the more they can make the better. this country isn't about helping one another anymore it like everybody for himself and be damned if your not in the game.

we were only a couple trillion in debt a few years ago now it's like 8 trillion. the biggest deficit ever that i can recall.

we've had many major corporations send there work else ware because they had so many restrictions placed on their business that it interfered with their profit margins.
we are seriously in hock up to our ears.

This a leftist canadian web site, the numbers are pulled out of a hat. All our problems started in 2000 etc.. It is an oversimplified exaggeration of the deficit, it isn't even close.

Here are a couple of places to get an understanding of the complexities of of the US budget:

http://www.cbo.gov/

http://www.fms.treas.gov/mts/index.html

http://www.whitehouse.gov/infocus/budget/2007/

Try and spend maybe fifteen minutes each and browse these sites and see if they are just propanganda.

Living in America should'nt be used in comparison to other countries to justify greed and corruption. That's a piss poor defense. Yes, we still have rights that citizens from other countries don't have but that won't last long if people don't wake up. Greed and corruption from political and government officials is not right and never will be regardless of whether we'll the best country or not.

Just because other countries have it worst than us doesn't make our lives any better. Our jobs are still being outsourced to other countries, and illegals are allowed to do the work for corporations who pay low wages, and skirt around medical and health insurance and other labor laws to make huge profits.

There are other countries that outdo us in many areas. For us to be the best country there is - why do we have the worst public education system there is. Have you looked at the percentage of high school dropouts. If most of the major advances in curing illness happens are here, why is the infant mortality rate higher here than in some third world countries and why are there more people in our prisons than in small countries. It's a well know fact that with a good economy there is less crime.

It's the best country in the world to live in if you are wealthy or high middle class, but if you are an average person - which is the majority of us - it's a struggle to even fill your gas tank and keep a family fed and healthy.

I never said that health care and prescription drugs should be free. Greedy drug corporations and insurance companies have taken over over medical care system.   It's shouldn't be controlled by FOR PROFIT companies because drugs aren't tested long enough. So what if they kill people. The profit has already been made. Pay a few million in lawsuits but make a billion.

Prescription drugs are thrown on the market for a quick profit. Remember the days when prescription drugs weren't advertised on TV. That's because the government regulated on how long they will be tested. There were laws in place.   The politicians and government officials changed the laws to benefit the drug companies.   It was taken out of hands of chemists. Chemists were fired who tried to stop it. Doctors are put in bad situations were they can't give the best care because of insurance companies. That's the point I was trying to make - not that health care should be free.

Medical care is at it's mimimal for the cost. People can't afford to have annual physicals, let alone the other stuff that is needed like mammograms and such. Huge profit is the objective when it once was not. Talk about selected memory.

If we don't compare our country to others, what planet should we compare to? Oh I know, the uncorrupt governments of say Mexico, China, Venezuela?

What areas do other countries out do us in anything? The space station is in trouble right now, because THREE Russian computers have failed. The space shuttle is keeping it in orbit. Why do other countries constantly rob technology from us? Like satellite technology by the Chinese for campaign contributions?

We don't have the worst education system, we have the worst teachers union, they've taken discipline, prayer, and common sense out of the schools.

I work in healthcare, you are repeating talking points. Drug testing has become more rigorous and takes years and hundreds of millions to develop new drugs. Thousands never make it. How would you run a pharmaceutical company, subsidies? By the way, where have you been turned down for healthcare?

Are cigarettes advertised on TV? Are you talking about Cialis, Levitra, Viagra, Lunesta, Ambien?

Remember the days if you had an abscessed tooth you might die? Remember the days if you had a stroke you were done? Remember the days if you had a heart attack you were done? Remember the days of polio? Remember the days when the average life span was 48 years? That was less than 80 years ago.

God bless this country.

It doesn't take to much common sense to realize that this administration has went way out of balance since the 911 attack. Bush took a stance against the wrong country at the wrong time he should have went after and captured or killed Osama bin Laden. All our efforts should have been directed towards that goal. Instead he went to war with Sadam under false pretences without accurate Intel. Bad decisions were made about the war in Iraq. Practically every one of his cabinet members has either been fired or quit/replaced. Having went to war with Iraq only added fuel to a fire that will burn for years to come. Instead of liberating a country from a dictatorship. The war has caused an influx of more violent warriors whom seek death to the American way.

These people will stop at nothing to fulfill there promise to attack us. Our own government along with the news media continue to broadcast all our weak points. Pointing out the we have many areas in our country where they can pull of any number of terrorist attacks. This in itself should never be divulged either by the media or our government. Yet on an almost daily basis some idiot broadcasts one or more of our nations week points. Well enough on this for now.

He should have been more concerned with fixing our economy and doing everything in his power to help the people living in america. Instead by starting this war he has hung us by the gonads and we will be involved with this war for no less than 50 years if not longer. There is no way out of it. If we pull out we look the fool if we stay we will create more violence. His administration should have advised him not to go to war without factual proof. There are hundreds of reasons why we shouldn't have went to war with Iraq. I'm sure there were members of his cabinet that advised him not to but he didn't or wouldn't listen. By committing this action the US will suffer from now to the end of time. Many people in the US are looking over there shoulders as if they we on second from near death. It has caused many people to be afraid of there own shadows not knowing or expecting what will happen next. As far as i and many million are concerned this was one of the biggest blunders of any American presidents.

Till the day i die i will never understand why the American peoples have allowed him to remain in office. The administrations lies and deceit have virtually went without due process. No one has been held accountable. At least Nixon had the balls to withdraw from office. My guess is no one wanted to see Cheney in the oval office. Trading one bad apple for another.

The only thing i can say is it's too bad that they haven't groomed a respectable president for the dems. Someone whom is mentally up for the job of righting the mistakes that have been made. No doubt it will take 20/30 years before we see peace. If in fact we ever do.

nobody can fix the administrations blunder. It will run it's course and the US will suffer for it for many years to come.

al-Qaeda dosent want peace with america only death and now they are even more vengful as we have fueled their hatred of us. The curent administration should have forseen this. And made every effort to tharwart it. Instead they have created a situation that for all intensive purpose will cause us to constantly be on guard and there is no real way to guard against people hell bent on destroying another way of life.

just as we were unable to save the Iraq's situation from excalating. We will be unable to stop every one of al-Qaeda attempts.

The American people showed us what they thought about the politicians in White House - remember the upset in the primary. Democratics winning both House and Senate.   Even I was shocked with that. Ah ha he he he - Man, it was skunk.

Republicians waged war and voted straight Democratic tickets against the Bush Administration. Republicians voting straight Democratic tickets..... Who would have thunk. They had been to lied to as well.   And the Christians got wise too. America showed us how disappointed they were. The Democratic didn't win - the Republicians gave it up the show their dismay in the Republician party. Now that is bad. And I don't mean superbad.
