There's A Mouse In The House....

Published:

...............and it's me!

What happened? As soon as I turned 40, I found myself liking "cheesy" things all of a sudden.

Like movies on the Lifetime Network--mind numbing brain candy where you can predict the ending within the first 15 minutes.

And elevator music...hey, some of those "cover tunes" sound great with a full orchestra!

The SLOW lane on the highway, imagine! My lead foot has turned into a sock full of feathers!

Diners! No longer do the trendy "see and be seen" restaurants appeal to my senses anymore. I'll take a stack of cakes over almond encrusted filet of sole with baby greens and escarole anyday.

Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra records! When I was a child my father played these constantly and my sister and I yelled for him to "turn that junk off"! Now it's ME who's spinning them on the turntable.

Wash and Wear loose clothing! Now we know why grandma was always in a housedress, they were so COMFORTABLE!

And going to bed before 10! HOO would've thunk it? Not THIS former night owl.

Once in awhile I get "hip" again.

I sneak into the spare room and turn on my "Saturday Night Fever" album. That always does the trick!

Happens to us when we're not looking. I'm the proud owner of 2 Duster coats. No zipper - snaps down the front. I dance to Sat. Night - not for long - get out of breath.   Old Blue Eyes and Dino - great memories.
