Our Universe and God

Published:

When you stand in front of a mirror and look at your reflection in a mirror placed behind you, you are reflected into eternity.  You can't count the reflections because they are endless.  The mirror image in front of you or behind you is finite but the reflections are infinite.

Our universe is considered finite but it could be nothing but an atom of a larger universe, which is an atom of another universe, etc., etc., ad infinitum.  For humans to try to understand the full scope of this is fruitless.  To try to explain it or assign a creator to it is absurd.  Thinking in finite terms, we say "Well, someone created matter".  But matter could be as infinite as the creator we assign to it...it can't be created or destroyed, only transformed.

There is a thread that holds this all together.  I prefer to add the extra "o" in God and call it Good.  If more people believed in Good rather than God our little boson of a world would be a better place.

Your spelling is sad. Without God there is no good. Our righteousness, no matter how well intended, is as filthy rags.
He doesn't need any of us to explain away his majesty in creation. We're all just single specks of sand that he has created to live in ths brief moment in time. All of this is forever settled in heaven and he doesn't need our approval on what he did and how he carried it out. I choose to go into eterninty with God my merciful creator instead of a dim humanistic view that has always failed and always will. There is no good without God.

Silver says.........."I choose to go into eterninty with God my merciful creator instead of a dim humanistic view that has always failed and always will".

Failed? Religion causes wars. Is that a failure or victory? It will cause constant wars if we don't get our act together. It's not bad enough that we have non-religous wars, but must include even more passionate ones, like the fanaticals.

As much intelligence this human race has in it's briefcase, one thing it really needs the most which it doesen't have is agreement. Agreement on anything vitally important. It won't happen, because there are too many egos flying around. Too many closed minds. Too many chiefs, and not enough indians. Too many proclaimers of what truth is.

They have the inside info, a monopoly of informants from the the source itself. Yeah Right!
