Hopefully 2023 will be a slow news year

But I doubt that will happen especially with all the ongoing investigations into the very strange affairs of the former President.

Seems like with the orange elephant still in the room the "us vs them" debates will continue maybe into the 2024 elections. The one thing all of us should be against is the disinformation and childish name calling. Time will tell if that stops.

After reading the response to something I commented on in the Bankman-Fried thread, maybe I should have started a "don't let the facts get in the way of opinions" blog entry.

It's getting to the point where some people just can't tell the truth and act offended when someone sets the record straight. Hopefully someday their grandkids will tell them the orange messiah was a lying fraud.

* Which begs the question: How can you be a politician in the United States of America, serving on Capitol Hill,  where you text Mark Meadows to suggest to Trump that he declare " Marshall Law" in order to stay in power?"

Without any proof, Trump said the entire 2020 Presidential election was stolen from him hours before most of the vote count was in. Everything after that is "we'll just try to steal the Presidency and lie about everything".  When I read Trump's remarks on prisoner swap for Britney Griner, I wondered how anyone could be that stupid when it's a fact Trump refused to swap Whelan for Bout when he was President.

The same liars are using inflation as their new rallying cry preaching to the uneducated that probably think "inflation" is how much air they need in their tires. The price of gas here is slightly lower than it was three years ago before the pandemic. New jobs were created and wages are up.

It's not just the uneducated gullible MAGA Kool-Aid drinkers; not when a U.S. House member doesn't know the difference between "Marshall law" and "martial law". But hey, when they can get Trump's digital trading card collection for $99, life for them doesn't get any better.

* l swear, these Maga folks will buy anything 45 hawks out there. I bet they will purchase his old red ties or boxer shorts if he put it out there as “ collectible items.” I heard there was a singer out there that sold her discarded chewing gum, and it was purchased by a fan.

* I read that  Bannon threw his hands up in the air after Donny came through with his digital trading cards grift. Well l guess if people can purchase water from the Jordan river or a piece of a rock they claim comes from Jesus’s tomb site- anything is fair game. Trump sure knows how to get the most out of his supporters & it’s always 2 things: Your vote & your wallet.

It was only a matter of time until someone exploited the flaws in buying bitcoins but couldn't figure how it became political after Bankman-Fried was charged and arrested. Found out that Fox News told their followers he made many large contributions to the Democrats. That included not telling their gullible listeners SBF said he gave about the same amount to Republicans.

Fox's claim against the Democrats was they would not go after SBF but fell apart when he was charged and arrested. Then they switched gears and said the only reason SBF was arrested was so he wouldn't have to testify to Congress. Again, hoping their gullible and uneducated listeners wouldn't know SBF could use the Fifth just like all of Trump's people did when they testified.

Still don't how all that got into a lottery discussion, but hey lots of people think the Kennedy assassination conspiracy is lottery related too.
