Let's be honest.
1) Nobody likes paying taxes.
2) To the committee and anyone else. If you could get out of having to pay any taxes you would jump at the chance. So spare us your fake outrage.
3) It was a good excuse not to fix any other more serious problems in the country.
4) The way the U.S. gov't. spends money, they are the ones that really need to be audited.

* Attempting to make excuses for your fallen leader. Wow, you a true Kool-Aid drinkers. 👍
Why wasn't Nixon given " a break?" Unless you think Nixon committed worse crimes.

Nixon was the one that first disclosed his taxes to try to prove he didn't do anything wrong. But he was behind the Watergate break in and was impeached for that.

Be honest NG. We all know if you could get out of having to pay any taxes you would jump at the chance. And so would anyone else.
Or would you be the only person in the world to say: No, I want to pay MORE taxes?

Nixon disclosed his tax returns as part of an effort to show transparency after getting a 23.2% margin of victory of the popular vote in 1972. If Nixon's reasons were to "prove he didn't do anything wrong" was Trump trying to prove he did something wrong by not releasing his taxes?

Some of the MAGA Kool-Aid drinkers here sure come up with some of the dumbest lamest Trump excuses on social media. We all know that Trump jumped at the chance to create imaginary losses. How exactly do those millions in business losses translate into Trump being an expert in business and money management?

What does Nixon's margin of victory have to do with his taxes? Nothing. But I guess you must think that's important somehow. Typical dem, bringing up something that has nothing to do with the topic.
His returns were leaked by someone in the IRS. He only paid 7% in taxes and he released them to try to show the public he was not a crook. He ended up owing over 400K.

* To the best of my knowledge, or anyone else's knowledge- it is not a crime to not show your tax payments as President. However,  listen carefully G, my comment was  based on your point  of " no one really wants to pay taxes."
*  That statement right there is creating cover for 45. Thing is none of the Maga folks can think of  a SINGLE thing that 45 did wrong as President. His supposedly " perfect phone call" which got him impeached, was: Them trying to get rid of him.
The govt documents at Mar A Largo, were first mentioned as " the FBI planted them."
* The guy is worshipped by his supporters because he is not a politician, in language we can easily interpret: We " needed" a President that did not play by the rules, a President that could skirt the Constitution or push it aside when necessary, a President that could could demand to stay in office despite the election results not in his favor- we needed a Man to turn America into a Banana Republic. That's what you guys are selling, and continue to sell since you want him back in the Oval office.
* Is that clear enough for you G?

I'm not creating cover for Trump. Tell me one person that likes paying taxes. That's one of the things that led to American Revolution, the tax the British put on tea. Remember the Boston tea party?
Fact is they were planning on getting rid of Trump in 2016 months before election day. Look up Peter Strzok and Lisa Page texts/emails. They worked for the FBI.
The $64,000 question is why would someone or organizations be trying so hard to prevent someone from running for office? No one has ever gone through what he has, it's been going on nonstop for 6 years now. Why are they so afraid of him? There has to be a reason(s). That will be one deep rabbit hole to go down.
